As you are adventuring through Cabal Online, you will come across many Upgrade and Force cores. These cores present themselves in a variety of different types such as- Low Cores - Medium Cores - High Cores - Highest Cores as either Force or Upgrade Cores. You can always tell if a core has dropped, as it will make a 'bling' noise as it falls to the ground; a noise that I love to hear.
Cores add stats to your weapons and armor - low, medium, high and highest upgrade cores improve the stats of your equipment (upgrades go up to +9); whereas a force core adds a special attribute to equipment with a slot such as HP + 50.

Below is an explanation of each core so you know how to use them properly.

Upgrade Cores

  • Low Core: Low cores are used for increasing stats on low grade equipment. They cannot be used on Titanium grade equipment or above, so if you want to practice using a core than practice with this one. Un-equip the item you are upgrading, right click on the Low Core and then left click on the item, if it's successful then your item will be +1. (Assuming it was 0)
  • Medium Core: Medium cores are used for increasing stats on Titanium or lower graded equipment and are used in the same manner as a Low Core.
  • Upgrade Core High: High cores are used for increasing stats on the high grade equipment and shouldn't be used on low grade weapon or armour. Osmium, Shadow titanium etc, are what you need to be saving and using High Cores on, anything else is a waste. Just like Low and Medium Cores, right click to use.
  • Upgrade Core Highest: The rarest of the cores, white in appearance, and the only core that can be used to upgrade Mithril grade equipment.

Enhancement Failure Penalties

  • +0 to +1 - Fail = nothing happens
  • +1 to +2 - Fail = nothing happens
  • +2 to +3 - Fail = nothing happens
  • +3 to +4 - Fail = nothing happens
  • +4 to +5 - Fail = -1 to +3
  • +5 to +6 - Fail = -1 to +4
  • +6 to +7 - Fail = -6 to +0
  • +7 to +8 - Fail = BREAK
  • +8 to +9 - Fail = BREAK

So, be very very sure of your decision when you upgrade to that +9 rank, because it fails and breaks more often than not.

To upgrade a piece of equipment, simply right click the core, and then drag it onto the item you wish to upgrade, and click on it. Be aware that the stat requirements of your equip will increase when you upgrade it as well.

Force Cores

  • Force Core: Unlike the other cores you can only use Force Cores on items which have a slot and you can see the chance of success on a Force Core transmute. In addition, Force Cores can have two types of enchantments, level 1 enchantments and level 2 enchantments. A level 1 enchantment requires a catalyst which signifies the type of enchantment that will be given to your gear. A level 2 enchantment is more powerful than a level 1 enchantment but it is random and because it is random it does not require a catalyst but instead it requires two Force Cores instead of one. Keep in mind that you can't use Force Cores just anywhere, you have to go to a 'Core Alchemist' to use them.
