There are 3 types of armor each with 12 grades.

Upgrading

Armor can be upgraded with Upgrade Cores. Both stats and requirements increase with each upgrade. Slotted items also have increased requirements. The requirements increase in the same way as an upgrade. The number of slots does not matter; a 3-slot item has the same requirements as a 1-slot item.
